It features a single LTO-8 tape drive, compatible with both LTO-7 and LTO-8 tapes, and includes a 12GB LTO-8 tape cartridge. The drive supports native transfer speeds up to 300 MB/s and compressed speeds up to 750 MB/s. Two Thunderbolt 3 ports facilitate easy connection to a host, while a DisplayPort 1.4 output supports resolutions up to 8K.

The device includes a preinstalled fan for cooling, LED indicators for monitoring drive activity and power status, and an aluminum construction with built-in handles. A lock slot on the rear panel provides physical security for your data. Compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux, the Mercury Pro LTO also supports optional OWC ArGest Backup Software for enhanced backup and archiving.
