The Blue Microphones Kiwi is a nine-pattern discreet Class A large diaphragm microphone with a B6 capsule. Requires 48 Volt phantom power.

The Kiwk's capsule patterns include Cardioid, Figure 8, Omni, and selections in between for a total of nine different choices.  This is achieved in a careful manner using Blue's double backplate capsule.  This unique capsule is measured in Blue's anechoic chamber for optimum performance.  Mounting to the Kiwi microphone amplifier happens by way of their mold-injected rubber stem to help isolate unwanted rumble.  Additional protection from low-end rumble is provided by the use of their elastic spider-type shockmount.

The Kiwi's sonic signature offers lots of top end without being too in your face along with lots of mids and bottom end without being too forward. The Kiwi is great for use with vocals, acoustic guitar and piano.
